Wednesday, July 12 in NYC & Hershey, PA

We got to NYC about 1 p.m.

The traffic was crazy, and you can't park on the street until after 6 p.m., so we had to park in a parking garage. The cost wasn't terribly high, but most garages in NYC are valet, and we had ALL of our things in the van since we had already checked out of our hotel. So Tom and I each had to lug around our laptops everywhere we went.

The first place we went was The Apple Store. Kevin picked out, and purchased himself!, a new pair of earphones for his Ipod. Eric drooled over the Apple laptop that he is saving his money for.

We decided to split up after the Apple store. Tom and the boys went to the Nintendo store near Rockefeller Center, while I went to the Trump Tower.

I found a Starbucks at Trump Tower, and ordered my favorites--the cheese and fruit tray and a venti, non-fat, iced white mocha. Afterwards, I walked around and took a couple of photos. I found a birthday present for Tom there, too!

The Avon Spa and Salon is also in Trump Tower.

The woman at the Trump store said Donald Trump was in the Tower today, but she had seen him leave about 10 minutes before I had gotten there.

I left shortly after Tom called, so I could meet him and the boys at the parking area.

About a block away from Trump Tower, I met the newest Apprentice, Sean, as I was walking down the sidewalk!

I stopped, and he stopped, when he noticed I recognized him. I asked him if I could shake his hand, and I did. I also asked if I could take his photo, so I quickly got out my cell phone, and took it.

He noticed I had a Trump bag, so I told him I had been to the Trump Tower while my husband and sons went to the Nintendo store. He said something like "looks like they lost, and you won."

I can't remember everything I said, but I'm sure it was goofy! I did tell him that we were glad they had chosen him, and that my whole family watched the show.

We drove through Central Park on our way out of NYC. Now we're on our way to Hershey!

We arrived at Hershey's Chocolate World about 8:30 p.m. It was open until 10 p.m. We had plenty of time to do and see everything we wanted to.

The first thing we did at Hershey's was to ride through the Chocolate Factory Tour. It reminded me of the "It's a Small World Ride" at Disney, except there were three singing cows! The funny thing is that Tom knew about the singing cows before we even got there!

Eric "played along" at the place where you can fill your own Hershey Kisses box. Kevin changed his mind, deciding that he was too old for it!

Now we're on our way to the Courtyard by Marriott in Gettysburg.
